Our History
SOCOSIX founded
Colonel Ryer began his Air Force career as an Intelligence Officer, training that served him well in subsequent military and civilian security assignments — including duty with the USAF Office of Special Investigations in DaNang, Vietnam, and 333 combat missions in the A-37 Dragonfly with the 603rd Special Operations Squadron at Bien Hoa Air Base.
Following his Air Force career, Dick traveled extensively for various government agencies before joining Apollo Security as a founding partner. On Apollo’s sale in 2016, Dick gathered trusted colleagues to launch SOCOSIX Strategies, LLC—building on the success of his military and Apollo experience and creating a multi-generational workforce. Dick’s vision for SOCOSIX focused on the long term, with a purpose of taking care of its people and clients.
